Both channels on this amp ar something to write home about. The Rhythm channel, the heart of this amp, is based on traditional BF designs like the Deluxe Reverb and sets out for a seemingly impossible task – improve upon this legendary classic. It indeed does deliver tones akin to this iconic amp, but with less of the mid-range scoop and a more sophisticated, smoother top end, which just works perfectly with single coils and humbuckers alike.

The Rhythm channel excels not only at cleans and edge of breakup tones, but it crunches up beatifully and with pedals, which it takes exceptionally well, you can sculpt endless shades of wonderful distortion with this one.

The Lead channel is Tweed era inspired and offers a rawer, woolier and at times slightly fuzzier tone which works perfctly to capture the vibe of these earlier designs. I would rather consider these two channels as capable of giving 2 very different flavors from clean to drive and not see the one strictly as for Rhythm and the other one for Lead, as both can cover a lot of ground, just in two very distinctive voices.
