PV 5050 ToneX Essential DI

The capture set is based on the the Block Letter Peavey 5150 amp that has been developed in collaboration of Peavey with the legendary Eddie Van Halen after he had been using an SLO-100 for some time. Naturally the 5150 finds lots of inspiration from the SLO-100 amp, but there were numerous significant changes that made it into a beast of its own, one of the more important hcanges being an extra gain stage.
The Peavey 5150 and 6505 that is very similar to the original, is the quintessential metal amp and also very widely used within the Djent genre thanks to its dry and tight tones.
The cleaner gain ranges on it are surprisngly versatile, and there is some nice crunch to be head from the Rhythm channel. That channel also sounds fabulous with a Tube Screamer in front of it AND it can be made to be really nasty with a pedal in front on the Rhythm channel.
But the Lead channel is what most are looking for in this amp - tight, chuggy and dry high gain tones for days.
The set includes 28 DI captures ranging from clean to lead gain levels and featuring various EQ settings per gain level. Please refer to the full list of Tone Models in the product pictures.
