The most versatile FNDR Blackface amp out there, which sits in a goldilocks constellation between headroom, compression, overdrive characteristics and the ability to take pedals perfectly.
It is not as stiff as some of its larger siblings and it has more detail and authority than the smaller ones. It can deliver scooped and sparkly as well as warm full bodied tones with ease. In part because the bright switch works perfectly with this particular amp and is more of an EQ and not just a bright switch.
The 1965 FNDR BFSR was the first Blackface amp in our collection and the one that sparked the love for the whole era of FNDR amps. Returning to it after 2 years of doing captures and learning to know most of the other usual suspects from the BF family, this amp feels like home.
This amp will easily get you into SRV territory with a Strat or let you run with the 3 kings of blues while yielding a humbucker based guitar, all of which used the BFSR at some point in their career.
This time around it is captured through an original 4X10 FNDR BFSR cab and original C10R speakers with our favorite mics - R121, M160 and U87. It includes also a few captures of it going through a Fender 2X12 with EV12L's.

Receiving the Captures
